I am missing a fun weekend in Seattle because I have to stay home since our dog's health is not good. We had tickets to the Mariners vs. Dodgers baseball (and the M's had a no-hitter last night, too! I could have been there!)
Nick used my ticket to go to the game with Bruce so they had good father/son time together seeing a no-hitter, only the third one in Mariner history.
Here are more happier times…

Nick also saw the Mariner's for their Opening Series games in Japan since he was working there so he's already had so many highlights this season and it's only June!
and he even got interviewed by MLB.com
I needed to stay home this weekend to tend to our ailing dog who ended up needing to be put down. So sad. She was 13 years old and fading fast these past few days. She had no obvious illness, just major fatigue but when I took her into our vet who did a blood test, it turned out she had leukemia.
Doesn't she just look so sad and tired?
Here she is 6 months ago.
It's so quiet around here now with her gone, it will take some getting use to. We've had a Samoyed for 18 years and if you know anything about that breed, they make a point of their presence being known, wherever they are. So, yes, it will take some getting use to…all this peace and quiet…it's too weird for me to deal with!
We took her to Seattle last summer and she loved Green Lake, as all dogs do.
I was glad I got to take her there because I love Green Lake, too. She was my third Samoyed I've taken to Green Lake and since we got her in Idaho after we left Seattle, she'd never been there.

She was a blue ribbon obedience winner.
loved the snow, of course
They always thought they were pulling a sled.
Boys always loved to pick her up and show off their strength.
a sleeping duo
She had a hard time keeping her mouth shut sometimes…O.K. maybe a lot of the time.
but she was always just a Puppy at heart.
Poor Puppy. Looks like she had a great life, though.
