Birthday Celebration

We are in the midst of a very busy month for our family since this month Lauren, Nick and I all have birthdays and Bruce and I have our anniversary. Plus, there's the 4th of July and also our grandkids have birthdays July 24th and June 30th. So, it's been non-stop around here. And our house is still under construction, so just add that in with everything else.  Below is our kitchen:  Lovely, isn't it?  I'm sitting at Starbucks right now doing this post because our house is without power while the electricians update the wiring in our house.  So, I figured it's a good time to post about my birthday.  We went to  Anthony's  on Pier 66 on the waterfront for my birthday dinner, one of our favorite places. They are known for their seafood (and for Mojo the Coho) and their food is incredible. This is Bruce's dish of fresh Ahi tuna with asparagus and rice. A Week of Celebrations

We are now home after a week of celebrating our July birthdays and our wedding anniversary in Seattle, as well as having a wonderful, relaxing vacation.  You might think with all that celebrating it was hard to relax but when you're staying at a lovely   beach bungalow , it's very easy to get into that relaxed mode. The bungalow was located just down from a restaurant called   Palisade   that we decided is a new favorite of ours with beautiful scenery at the Elliot Bay Marina. We went there for   my birthday   and then again for our 33rd wedding anniversary on Friday night. This time I ordered the Alaska halibut with chorizo and clams served on paella.  It was a perfect combination because halibut is so mild but chorizo really gaves it some zip along with the paella.   Bruce ordered the same thing but he also ordered the Dungeness Crab and Lobster Bisque.
