Beach Bungalow

My birthday week celebration continues.  We are loving our beach rental on Puget Sound in Seattle. Bruce and I feel like we are on a cruise because we hear the waves constantly and it is so soothing and relaxing. We occasionally see the cruise ships pass by which is another reason we feel like we're on a cruise. I actually took a nap on Saturday as Bruce went out with my two brothers on the annual  Pub Crawl in Seattle .     It started off at 9:00 am sharp with breakfast at  Hale's . They then proceeded to go to Populuxe Brewing     Stoup Brewing Jolly Roger Taproom If you remember rule #1, well,  I sort of broke it again... But after 5 breweries, they really didn't care at this point.   Lauren and I met them at Elysian Fields brewery before the Mariner game on Saturday, even though "no girls allowed" on the pub crawl.  It was Iwakuma bobble head night at Safec...

Pub Crawl Weekend Completed

As I mentioned in my previous post, Rule #1 for my brother's Seattle Pub Crawl is "no girls allowed" but I kept sneaking in here and there around town and disrupting their guy-time together.  Sorry, Rich…I couldn't resist!  After Nick has been in Japan for 7 months, I just wanted to see my boy! Can you blame a mom?  We ran into Nick's college friend with his dad at  Pyramid Alehouse   before the Marine game on Saturday.   This is a very popular pre-game spot before games, a great place to meet up with people which we often do.  But before all this happened, Bruce and Nick picked up the other 6  guys for the Pub Crawl (Bruce was the designated driver) and headed for breakfast at  Hale's Brewery   which not only has great beer but also excellent food. This is where we have had stout floats and they still ordered one this weekend at their 10:45 a.m. pub stop.  Before they arrived at Pyramid pre-Mariner g ame...

Pub Crawl

This weekend, my brother is having a Pub Crawl in Seattle and even though "no girls allowed" is rule # 1, I'm still going to enjoy myself while I'm here.  Nick and Bruce are participating in it and we will meet at the Mariner game tonight. Same for tomorrow.  The Pub Crawl continues after the game and then my brother will allow me (or "girls") to join in.  At least, he did the last time. Here's a photo I took of them during the last Pub Crawl when I met them at the  Pyramid Alehouse  before going across the street to the Mariner game. After the game, we went to  Hale's Brewery   for stout floats which I had never had before and they were delicious! At Hale's, they bring out a big platter of brownies with the stout floats.  It takes a certain kind of stout for the stout float to taste so delicious and Hales makes the right kind. As you can see, everyone is feeling pretty good by the end of the day of pub crawling.  R...
