I'm am enjoying this phase of moving the most. We have a lot of boxes to unpack but they aren't anything urgent so we still have time to explore our new neighborhood. One of the reasons we wanted to live in this neighborhood is because it reminds us of old Seattle that we remember, not the up-scaled Seattle that has happened to a lot of the neighborhoods. Our neighborhood theater has remained unchanged since 1942. They recently just installed two new laser digital projectors so we still need to go check it out. The first photo above is the Admiral Bird which is a florist and small, funky cafe that we've stopped in a couple of times already for breakfast and lunch. Very dog-friendly, as you can see. That's how I remember Seattle. Every weekend is Waffle Weekend at the Bird. We stopped in for lunch when we first arrived in town with limited food. My cobb salad really hit the spot.
